Your first hour

The point of your first hour is not finishing a settings tour. It is creating one piece of work with a Familiar, changing it yourself, and keeping the result.

Before you begin

Sign in as a verified member. Completing a Server invitation creates your personal Familiar. On first sign-in, choose Shape your Familiar in the welcome prompt — if you skipped it, use Settings → My agents instead. If My agents says you don't own an agent yet, there is no self-service creation in this release; ask your operator to check your account provisioning.

Your operator must also have configured a model and allowed you to invoke Familiars and write artifacts. If New conversation, Apps, or New document is missing, ask your operator to check those account capabilities. You do not need to be the Server owner.

Walk the loop

1. Install Desktop or open the web client, then sign in to the Server your operator gave you.
2. Finish shaping your Familiar — give it a name, look, voice, and working character you'll recognize later.
3. Open Rooms, choose New conversation, pick your Familiar, and send a plain message to prove the wire works.
4. Open Apps, find Writer, and start a new document. Keep it in Workspace, name it, and create it.
5. Edit the new document yourself, then ask your Familiar to make a change and accept or reject the proposal.
6. Wait for Writer to show Saved, then keep working from that saved document or export a copy.

That loop — communicate, create, intervene, continue — is the thing worth proving in your first hour.
