Use the integrated terminal
Work in one terminal session yourself, or let your Familiar drive it.
The integrated terminal is currently a Desktop surface, not part of the web client. You need a verified identity, workstation capability on your account, and Desktop's local terminal bridge — plus, for your Familiar to drive it, a connected relay that advertises terminal control.
Share a session
- Select the terminal icon at the bottom of the left rail and open a session.
- Choose Let [Familiar] drive when you want it to operate the session.
- Review and approve the handoff.
- Choose Take control at any time; Hide backgrounds the session, Kill stops it.
The handoff prompt is the one explicit consent point for an unsandboxed terminal. After that, OpenCircle does not ask for approval on each command — your Familiar runs with your own macOS account's authority for that session, so take control back before anything sensitive.
If Terminal is unavailable
- No terminal icon — use Desktop, confirm your identity is verified, and ask about workstation capability.
- Workstation isn't On — open Settings → Workstation access and complete the setup step; a reviewed profile needs your PIN.
- Opens but Familiar control is missing — confirm Desktop is connected and the relay is active.
- A session won't start — remove secrets or private paths from the error and send it to your operator.
